This last month GCAP had the opportunity to attend the conference in Indianapolis Indiana. This conference was held by the ASHE (American Society of Healthcare Engineering) association. We attended this conference in hopes that we could shine a light on the need for hands-on boiler training. We found that at this conference majority of these hospitals were all using boilers in their facilities. This industry uses steam for multiple different reasons throughout hospitals, for things such as sterilization and actual heating of the building. Talking with lots of engineers from these different hospitals all over the country, we found a need for training. Many of these facilities did not have very many if any trained operators to run their boilers, but wanted to provide that to their employees.
After spending the day talking with people we decided to walk around and look at the different booths inside the conference hall. We found many interesting things while walking around. Saw some new electric boilers, new fire tube boilers and other companies that related to what we had been trying to market. We got to spend some time talking with different companies and looking at new equipment. We spent time talking and mingling with individuals from all over the country. They have estimated that there were around 4,000 people that attended this conference. All in all we had a great time marketing boilers and making new connections.
